Any one planning on painting in the spring? Picking out paint colors can be a very hard task…even for a designer! Here is a helpful tool. Every season, Pottery Barn puts a collection of paint colors together for you. It really helps to narrow down the choices. You can pick up a sample book at the store for free or order one online for two bucks. They use Benjamin Moore paint colors…they are my favorite paint supplier because they have such a great color selection. Especially the restoration colors!!! But if you would like to go a less expensive route, then just ask your paint supplier(Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc. ) to match it.
I love these too! I am going to paint our “pink room” a shade of brown from this pallette for our office and eventually a room for Connor in the future. They have some great colors and you can look in Pottery Barns magazine to see them painted on the wall to see if you like them or not!
We just FINISHED painting the ENTIRE house – if I don’t see anymore paint for a while, I’ll be happy! LOL!
Happy painting to you though!
I’m with Sarah…we’re getting close to being done with our ENTIRE house and once it’s done I don’t want to do any more for a loooong time. The best thing I did was to go to Porter Paint and purchase a paint fan. For $10 you can get the fan with all 1800 of their samples, go to your house and see them in the room with the light you’ll have, and then take them to be color matched. It was well worth the investment with the amount of paint we bought and saved tons of time from going to the paint store several times getting different samples…any one need to borrow a color fan???
YES!
I’ve been on PB’s site a bunch lately. We’ll be using another brand but I still have found a couple different ideas from their site. It’s great!
We’ve liked Sherwin Williams. Does anyone have some good earthtone recommendations from them? We’re thinking latte or hopsack for the main living areas and maybe a light pea green color (very subtle but not minty) for our master. any recommendations??
