We discovered THIS this weekend while cutting back our bushes in the front yard. What is the world is it??? Is it a bug? Is it an animal? An alien? It is huge!!! And although it seems dead I am afraid that it could jump right at me. Could it be part of the tree? This is the weirdest thing I have seen in a long time. I am so afraid to touch it. Jason told me last night that this year the Cicada’s are coming back. You know the locusts that come every 17 years. They were just here. I know it hasn’t been that long! This thing, whatever it is, is a lot scarier. It needs to go back to Africa or back to the Rainforest!

Oh my word. I agree. What IS that?? I personally think it is one of Hayden’s stuffed toys you put on a tree and took a picture of. And then, I think, who would give their kid a stuffed toy like that?! That is so bizarre. Please let us know what it is, how long it visits your tree, etc.

and just to clarify…the pictures make it look A LOT bigger than it is. It is big, but more like the size of my hand…not a foot. ya’ll are funny! i still am with you though…it is really scary. i just would like to know what it could be.

So, its 3:00am and I was taking a quick break from studying for my Greek final and I decided to check your blog… and I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw this! It is SO weird looking. It looks like a mini-pterodactyl (yes, that’s really how you spell it… just googled it!) I find it interesting that as scared as you and Jason get (Jason, if you’re reading this I’m kidding about you) about stuff that you failed to mention this creature when we talked today. If this thing is real, I think you should call Washington because I’m pretty sure there is some radioactive waste nearby… seriously.
