We are back!!! We went to St. Pete Beach for a conference with Jason and then we went to spend some time with Jason’s family. We left two Friday’s ago, drove to Atlanta, spent the night, drove to Tampa, spent the night, drove to St. Pete, spent four nights, drove to Lake Sinclair in GA, spent three nights, and drove home last night. Whew!
We had a great time in Florida! Jason was at a Singles Pastor’s Conference representing Lifeway. I hung out with the other wives and kids while he was in meetings. I had a couple afternoons to myself while Jason stayed in with Hayden. I spent one of those just walking on the beach by myself. It was so NICE. I really enjoyed watching everyone else enjoy themselves. I had to think that God must have great pleasure in seeing us enjoy his creation like that. There is not a day that goes by that someone is not on the beach. I bet he loves watching us play and relax out there. I thank him for that!
After the conference we headed to the lake to spend some time with Jason’s family. His brother and wife have a lake house that we stayed at. We made some great memories with fishing, tubing, skiing, and playing basketball( Fold-A-Hoop). I was a little addicted to the basketball game with a high score of 76 points in 30 seconds. I also skied for the first time since I was in middle school. I normally just ride in the boat while Jason does all his crazy antics but this time I thought I would give it a try. I got up after three or four tries! GREAT memories!
So we are here for a few days and then we are headed back to Knoxville to celebrate the 4th with our friends who have an annual 4th celebration.
I don’t have many great thoughts to share today…I am just relaxing! Jason accidentally took both sets of car keys to work today so I am glad to be stuck at home. I do have something funny to share: My friend Tara had a cake made for a baby shower recently. Let’s just say it didn’t quite turn out how she had hoped. You can read more about it on her blog but here is a picture that will say more than enough! Enjoy the laugh!

Great cake. That’s too funny!
We’re glad you’re home. Got your message…want to go to Sports Condit tomorrow a.m.?
that’s one baby that you definately say,”bless its heart” WOW
OK that was a good laugh! I am crying!!!!!!!
He he he!! I laughed when I saw my hideous cake on here! I am glad that everyone thinks it is as ugly and FUNNY as I did!!!! I hope it made your day! I think I need to go back and tell that lady that she has all of Middle and East TN laughing!
I am glad you all had a great time on your trip. So how did you stay awake to write this post? You have got to be POOPED! Call me when things settle down after the 4th and we will get together!
Love ya, Tara
I am once again laughing so hard that I am crying. I haven’t done that since I saw the pictures of your “bug” on here! Thanks for the laugh!
That cake is just TOO funny – Tara’s post about it is great too!
hey girlie – long time no talk!! Hope you are doing well!! I have a giveaway on my blog you might want to check out!!
Love, Leigh
Can I get the mold, my niece is pregnant!! lol!
I think the lady should have stuck with something less intense for her first try… like a baby rattle! I just realized wht it looks like, “Rugrats” from Nickelodeon way back when! That’s so funny! Carrie, glad you had a good time at the lake… and glad that I could listen to the ocean waves on your cell phone…while in India. It was so hot today that when I got home I took a cold shower and tried to convince myself it was like jumping in the pool after you’ve gotten hot from laying out! Haha!
Carrie,
I came across your site awhile back (I also go to Long Hollow) and have enjoyed reading your posts! I just happened to notice the name “Darby” on your blog roll. She’s married to my second-cousin, and I couldn’t believe there was a connection since they don’t live anywhere near here!!!
Anyway, I’ve been inspired by your blog so much…and I thought now would be a good time to let you know that!
Also, I know you don’t know me…But what a small world.
P.S. The cake story is hilarious!
Jennifer, that is so funny! Darby is a really good friend of mine! Thanks so much for your comment…it means a lot!
