It took one of my best friends from high school to visit Nashville to get me to Monell’s! My friend, Shelby, and her family are moving from Suffolk, VA to San Diego, CA…talk about moving ‘cross country! They are on there way and making stops to visit friends. They have a book that is 1000 Places to See Before You Die and are in competition with some friends to see who can do the most. Monell’s is one of the places and was the 92nd place for them to visit! Very inspiring! I think I will have to get that book! Monell’s was amazing. It is a family style restaurant…just like eating at your grandparents! We had cornbread, biscuits, green beans, collards greens, broccoli salad, corn casserole, cucumber salad, peas, spinach lasagna, fried chicken, pot roast w/ carrots and potatoes, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, and banana pudding for dessert! Talk about a feast! I think I may just bypass cooking for Thanksgiving this year and head on over to Monell’s!!!

haha, Ashley! i can’t pose for a picture with out the head tilt now! and what is more patriotic than a Mickey Mouse T? My sis-in-law gave it to me last weekend and it is already my favorite T-shirt…Wally World special if anybody wants one!
Carrie, I am so glad you tried it. I still havent either, but my Mom talks about it all the time. Wow, that was a FEAST! I bet you are still stuffed. I noticed the tshirt too! It is too cute!
My boss LOVES Monell’s. They do carry out, although the pictures look like good atmosphere.

I LOVE Monell’s! Don’t you just wonder though what they do with all that leftover food? It’s soooooo much!
