Well, yes it is hard to follow the “I am PREGNANT” post! I can’t think of any thing more exciting than that! But a second close is the fact that I am eating a brownie with some milk as I write this post! Yummy! I made up for it by working out twice today…the first time was a real workout this morning at the Y. The second was nice walk in the neighborhood with a couple friends! Man, it was beautiful tonight!
I have been taking many naps lately, hence the blogging hiatus. I have been so tired and my sick time is from about 4-7 everyday. Not too bad though. My first appointment in August 14th!
It has been a good week. I am missing my husband like crazy though! I got real used to traveling with him last month and I couldn’t go with him this week and I have missed him so much! AND it didn’t help that I had a horrible nightmare the night before he left. I don’t even want to retell it but it made me yell “HELP” and I woke myself up. But God has been so quick to take away my fears. I started week 4 in my Bible Study the very next morning after my nightmare and would you know that the very first verse was, “The LORD is for me, I will not fear; What can man do to me?” And that is exactly how God speaks to me. His Word is perfect and bears fruit and is comfort and so much more. I have been praying and claiming this verse all week.
I went to a women’s gathering at my church last night. I was so encouraged and challenged. We heard many women’s stories and they were just real, honest, and glory to God type testimonies! I was convicted in the very first discussion we had at our tables, and the next, and the next… One thing we reflected on last night was, “Where are the holes in your life that you are allowing anything but God to creep in? I knew for me it was my mind. You see everything that comes from my mouth ( or that is missing from my mouth) is coming from my mind. If my mind was truly taken captive to Christ my tongue would be transformed, my serving would be for others, my worry would turn to peace, my fears would be only for the Lord. I read this verse today from Philippians, “Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus.” The selfless, humble, obedient mind is mine(ours) when I find it in Christ. It is a battle. This is why we must “take CAPTIVE” our thoughts. I have to admit I have been a week soldier in capturing my thoughts. It is time to start fighting again.
So hopefully, I will be back before another week passes by. Jason is doing his first Triathlon this Saturday! I am so excited for him and so proud of him! Although, I wish I could take a small canoe/kayak and paddle next to him in the lake. That kind of makes my nervous.
A few more things: My friend Sandi is having an art sale this Saturday. She is so so talented. Anyone is welcome to come. More details HERE. Also, The Encores and More North Consignment Sale is coming up August 9th -16th. It is an amazing sale with over $900,000 new boutique and Gymboree children’s clothes 60-80% off retail! It is awesome!

Congratulations …. that is some very good news!! You all will be in our prayers – I’m so thankful you are getting some naps.
.
Love the tent pic. – we do the same thing – last time we had a fire and did hot dogs and marshmallows, so much fun! And about the movie deal – wait ’til Hayden is a bit older and you will get to go the movies again – that is Ryan’s love language – popcorn, candy and a movie – I think he would pick that over anything just about and I love taking him … thank goodness that there are a few here and there that we can actually take him to see. Of course, I’ll have to be honest – I doze off every now and then – the movies he likes can bring about a few yawns here and there
